We collect and dispose

What about recycling?
Paper, cardboard, plastic, tin cans and bottle glass are valuable and can all be recycled. If you have any of these in large quantities, unmixed, then hire a skip and we will ensure it is taken to the relevant recycling centre, instead of the landfill.
We encourage residential and business owners to play their part in recycling and keeping our environment clean. Speak to us regarding a recycling haul, for example, plastic only, bottle glass only, cardboard only, paper only.
Please note: The following cannot be recycled – windscreen glass, windowpane glass, mirrors, light bulbs, drinking glasses and tumblers, Pyrex and laboratory glass.
How much waste can I put into a skip?
All our skips are 3 cube skips with markers inside for 2 cube capacity, so for waste such as rubble, stone etc. skips can only be filled to the 2 cube mark.
Our 3 cube skips can hold approximately 50-60 bin bags, or 14-18 wheelie bins. Our 3 cube skips will take all household refuse, general waste an garden refuse.
The 2 cubic metre can hold approximately 30-40 bin bags, or 8-12 wheelie bins. Our 2 cube skips will take all general waste, garden refuse and rubble.
What do you not dispose of?
Hazardous waste is waste which is toxic, ignitable, corrosive, carcinogenic, such as heavy metals, chemicals, oils, paints, hazardous household and garden products, asbestos etc..
Other items not allowed in the skip are things such as batteries, gas cylinders, medical waste and tyres. Clay, sand, soil, especially when wet, should not be placed in the skip, unless in very small amounts and after consultation with MUMSON.
What size are your skips?
All our skips are 2.4m (L) x 1.4m (W) x 1m (H). The empty skip weight is approximately 120kg.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made via EFT or cash on delivery of the empty skip. Proof of payment must be provided at collection of the skip. Please use your invoice number, which will be emailed to you, as reference when making payment.
What kinds of waste can I dispose of?
We safely dispose of residential and business general waste, garden refuse and building rubble. General waste is waste that does not pose an immediate hazard or threat to health or to the environment and includes domestic waste, building and demolition waste, business waste and inert waste.
